SMS Messaging Program
Last updated 28 August 2026
hawknote is a note capture and reminder platform. Customers text notes to their hawknote number and the platform sends them back the reminders they scheduled. This page describes exactly which messages the platform sends, how customers consent to receive them, and how they stop.
Who receives messages
Only a registered hawknote customer, at a mobile number that customer has entered and verified themselves. hawknote never messages a number that has not completed the verification below. Customers cannot message one another, and hawknote sends no marketing or promotional messages of any kind.
How customers opt in
Registration is by invitation. Once a customer has an account at hawknote.net, opt-in happens on the web, in four steps:
- The customer opens Settings in their account.
- Under Phones that can text into your feed, they type their own mobile number and press Send code. Submitting this form is the request to receive text messages.
- hawknote sends a one-time passcode to that number.
- The customer types the passcode back into the web form. Entering it proves they hold the number and completes the opt-in. A confirmation message follows.

By verifying, the customer agrees to receive the messages listed below.
Every message the platform sends
There are three, and no others. Each is generated automatically by the application; no message is typed by a person.
1. One-time passcode — when a number is added
472913 is your hawknote verification code. It expires in 10 minutes. Reply HELP for help, STOP to opt out. hawknote.net
2. Opt-in confirmation — once, when the number is verified
You're subscribed to hawknote: verification codes and reminders you schedule. Msg frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help, STOP to cancel. hawknote.net
3. Reminder — only when the customer scheduled one
hawknote reminder: send the invoice to the charter client. Reply STOP to opt out. hawknote.net
The reminder text is the customer's own wording, taken from the note in which they asked to be reminded.
Message frequency
Message frequency varies with the customer's own use of the platform and is typically fewer than 5 messages per month. hawknote sends a message only in response to something the customer did: adding a number, or scheduling a reminder. Message and data rates may apply.
Help and opting out
Reply HELP to any message for help, or email ian.bange@gmail.com.
Reply STOP to any message to cancel and receive no further messages. A customer may also remove the number in Settings at any time, which stops messages to it and stops texts from it being accepted.
